What will be, will be because my vote won’t count.
Your vote does count!
It absolutely does not count. Even if the Democrat candidate wins, I lose. The party is rudderless. I find myself disagreeing more and more with the loudest voices in the party. Worse, they don’t even see how they hurt the Democratic Party brand even in the face of Trump.
2028 will be a rebuttal against MAGA not because of the Democrats’ platform. A dead cow shouls be able to beat Trump if nominated for the party.
History has show us it will take at least 50 years for the turbulence to end. I’m too old to be able to see that time.
My vote won’t stop the insanity. My party will beat Trump and MAGA but it won’t bring back sanity. My vote absolutely won’t count.
Voting is only step one. Yes it's harm reduction, but I'd say we need some harm reduction right now. So vote, whether you think it matters or not. But don't stop there. Stay on your representatives asses. Pay attention and make sure they know you're paying attention. Get active in your community. We do not need the federal government to do everything. Your local community has needs and helping at that level is going to have the biggest impact on your daily life. Pick an issue and get active. Do not simply complain and give up. That's exactly how everything got so bad.
I have been active in my community. Getting rid of Trump is a good thing ans stopping government criminals, but I don’t support the Dems either. It will will be HURRAH! No more MAGA/Trump, but BOO, were left with whatever the heck the Democratic Party has morphed into.
All the Dems ever want to do is take credit for things I’ve started and hold it up as an example for Democratic Party’s political purposes. What I do for my community is for the community not a party. I’m tired of party over real people. It’s like people do things because they want to earn merit badges. Maybe start doing the right things because they are right not because someone is going to notice.

Absolutely no to Harris.
Besides Bernie Sanders, who will never get elected, Democrats who have actually impressed me with their courage or leadership: Chris Murphy, Ro Hanna, Chris Van Hollen, Mark Kelly.
Jacob Frey. Prez
We CANNOT put up any current members of congress. They have been completely ineffective and represent the sh@tshow that is he dem party now. More people are moderate and imdriende t because of his sh@tty both parties are currently.
Spanburger would be my choice for VP.

Frey is a distinguished athlete with a law degree and a history of tampering down civil tension. He is also Jewish.
He was a serious decorated track athlete and can run a 2:16 marathon. No more old fliers in the office. Mid 40s is the perfect age.
given the genocide that is Israel, no jewish candidate will succeed on the national level.
A qualified Jewish candidate that is not Israel first and doesn't support genocide will have a very good chance however

I think Kamala’s silence has a LOUD message.
Her silence means: "told ya and "y'all" didn't listen to me nor the others in 2024." So who the f cares now if she is silent or not. if half had tried to see past her gender and race...
I voted for Harris bc I’m a life long Dem. But she was not a good candidate. She had zero to say about anything and only speaks in platitudes. Nothing to do with her gender or race. In fact those are the only interesting things about her

She hasn't been silent at all in fact she spoke out before some others. But you couldn't wait to get your dig in
What has she been DOING that you believe demonstrates leadership? Anyone can give an interview and say some stuff.
She isn't in office, so other than giving interviews and showing up at protests, what do you expect?
Leadership. That's what we expect. She may not be in office but she has access to a lot of power and she doesn't seem to be doing much with it at a time when leadership is desperately needed. Do you people expect literally anything from the people who seek power from you? She was asking, and will possibly ask again, for the highest office in our country, yet in our country's time of need, she's writing books and giving soundbites while regular Americans are putting their bodies on the line to protect their neighbors.
You can't think of ANYTHING she could do with all her money, connections, and name recognition?
You keep saying "leadership"
What are the specific actions you expect?
People are standing in front of cameras and talking.
People are protesting and documenting.
Dem governors are standing up to the threats as best they can.
There isn't a lot that can be done with Congress.
What else do you want to see?
Someone about 40, ostensibly Christian white male who is brash occasionally drops the F word. Talks great policy about health care and economy but doesn't say anything about LGBTQ or BIPOC
You’re describing the GOP candidates from the 90s and early 2000s (oh and Clinton’s terrible VP pick) No thank you from me! We need more Mamdanis and Freys. People who have conviction and aren’t manufactured.
The megaiest of mega-donors don't like Mamdanis and therefore Mamdanis have no chance in big time national elections.
