Yes the TJ classes are more rigorous; that is the whole point. Gifted kids should have classes where they aren’t bored and have the experience of being intellectually challenged. In the higher TJ math classes, the rigor will exceed many university classes of the same name. The expectation is that you go to TJ because you want this acceleration— if you want the class to be the exact equivalent of base school, just go to base school.

The essay questions for the alternate date or extended time tests are different. Or at least were in the past. Don’t worry. Admissions knows everyone discusses the questions every year.

Absolutely. We always do the homework jointly, both parent and kid together. It is teamwork!

I don't think I could keep up. I would probably be holding my kid back.
