I’m sorry op. A friend of mine is going through this with one child in rockville. DW stayed in the house with the child. DH got the smallest cheapest apt. He could find within a few minute drive of their house. DC lives mostly at the house but stays over some at DH apt and he’s close enough to pick her up, do dinner, etc. good luck to you and your family.

You may need to live further out in the suburbs. Maybe in a townhouse or condo.

It's as if people here think that recently separated men are only interested in women who are seeking a LTR. Plenty of women are fine with, or even prefer, a man who is not available for a LTR. It keeps things cleaner that way.

Every situation is different. When my ex moved out we hadn't had sex for 3+ years. He could easily have had ONSs (at the woman's place) with random women while living in our in-law suite after we separated and it wouldn't have been a problem.
