No. He just has extremely poor taste in humor in private texting.

I don’t think it was humor. He has shown extremely bad judgement.
Really the last thing I want in an AG.
Yet… Virginia electoral college votes are at stake at the next election.

It was humor. Fiction. Whatever you want to call it, it was not a real desire. He was hypothesizing about how to use two bullets on three possible people, two of whom are dead.

People who are OK with MAGA and Project 2025 are looking for excuses not to vote for Jones. Congrats, you found one.

The rest of us think zip-tying toddlers is a dealbreaker

There is appropriate humor/fiction and inappropriate humor/fiction. This was clearly the latter and unbecoming of someone who wants to be the Commonwealth’s chief prosecutor, regardless of context.

Jay Jones can go back to felonious speeding along I-64 for all I care.

Unbecoming, you say? Well, horrors, let's clutch our pearls as we scuttle off to back the guy who wants to take away our civil liberties. Seemliness before all, that's what we say at the club!

Eh candidates use 501c4’s to “hide” donors. As someone who works in corporate lobbying I can almost guarantee Dominion is also donating to Jones to hedge their bets, but doing it via a c4 because Jones doesn’t want his base to see him accepting $$ from Dominion. Arrangements like this are super common.

Dominion is well known for contributing to both sides in many VA political races.

LOL. “Unbecoming”. It’s 2025, we are way past that. Virginia’s rights are on the line.

No one seriously GAF about the texts. Dems are more focused on protecting Virginia from Trump. Any faux concern is from MAGAs who worship the most “unbecoming” of all.

I also lost respect for Spanberger, who should have dumped Jones the day after these texts became public. Plenty of other qualified people to take Jones’ place.

I don’t agree with Jason Miyares but I’m voting for him on Election Day.

That’s not how it works. They are independent elections plus the ballots are already printed and voting is underway.

You sound like an outside agitator who isn’t familiar with the basics of VA elections.

Yes, we know that MAGAs love Miyares.

Look, you can vote for the party that thinks Trump dumping sewage on American citizens is funny or you can not. Those are your two options. Personally, I’m voting against being sh$t on.

Eh, doubtful. Jones got money from Clean VA which only donates to candidates who don’t take dominion money.

You’re missing the point. Any and all c4 donors are never publicly disclosed via any filings. There's zero way Clean VA can verify if Jones did or did not take $ from Dominion except taking Jones at his word.
