Always Trump on these threads. I'm a woman who thinks our behavior should outshine his, but posters like you want women to sink to his level. You and Ms. Porter have much in common, I'm sure.

I watched the whole thing and shes getting frustrated because she doesnt want to cater to the Trump obsessions, Shes saying ask me the questions about my stance so the voters can make a decision based on me. Also, she clearly answered the question- in multiple ways, multiple times.
Regardless this is just her saying Im done with the antagonist approach. I would LOVE to see the "other" interviews to see if the reporter treated them the same.
There is a YouTube link on page five of this thread with all the interviews

It’s crazy for me to say this but I think it is possible California could elect a red governor, if Porter is the blue option.
I agree. There's a lot of resentment toward progressives in California. Even San Francisco recalled their DA. If Democrats choose a rude, abrasive, and unlikeable candidate, they will be vulnerable as long as Republicans choose someone sane. People can mock Arnold Schwarzenegger, but he would win in a heartbeat over Katie Porter today.
There is no question in my mind that an Arnold Schwarzenegger would win over Porter.
What a lot of DCUM posters do not get because they aren’t here in CA is that for much of the state, from the very wealthiest to the very poorest, the quality of life in the state has degraded under Newsom and particularly the progressives. I don’t think I know a single person who thinks their quality of life in California has gotten better since Newsom was elected. Almost everyone hates ICE, even conservatives and Republicans, so that creates a serious opening, but a reasonable-sounding Republican who asks the question “Are you better off?” could do very well. The anger at what the progressives have done to this state runs very deep.

This is the California governor’s race, ma’am.

And? Question was about Trump voters. Reporter was trying to get her to say she doesn't need them. This way and that way coming at it from different angles. If Katie Porter is the only candidate not to fall in this trap then she's clearly the better candidate than the rest.

As a woman I hate the fact she’s going to be called out for this behavior when we all know Trump behaves much worse than this on a daily basis and no one clutches their pearls over his behavior. That being said, would I want to spend time with her? Heck no. And I also don’t think you have to be rude and argumentative to be strong.
If you ignore the abrasive behavior she comes across as unprepared and not willing to discuss issues. Neither of these are a good look and if I was a CA voter, I’d be looking for an alternative candidate to support.
And how many times have Vance or Stephen Miller gotten snippy with reporters during interviews? It's practically the Republican mantra to sneer at the media. But when a Democrat does it, oh no, she's disrespectful!
Well, she’s not being compared against Vance or Miller. She’s being compared against every other candidate in her race who answered the exact same questions from the exact same interviewer respectfully and thoughtfully.
