That's not going to go well
Why not?

The bigger issue is that most of the straight guys don’t really know how to ask girls out. The pressure on kids to get perfect grades and do EC in HS doesn’t really lead to a situation where kids have the free time to develop good dating confidence and skills.
My son has a girl friend and I actually think it’s a great experience for him to learn how to be a good boyfriend—-but his grades are not as good as the boys that don’t date.
Girls should be asking guys out now.
I agree with this, as a woman. It's a logical advance in gender equality.

DP. I think Georgia Tech is 60/40 m/f. Here are some others that are close:
Colorado School of Mines - 68/32
Caltech - 57/43
Virginia Tech - 57/43
How many at these schools are actually dateable? These schools are disproportionally male due to engineering majors. HS DD is in higher level math and physics classes and many of her male classmates don't bathe regularly. Google engineering and BO or look on Reddit. It's a thing.

Anonymous wrote:Could parents or students at universities with 60/40 ratios comment on the dating scene? DD is straight (and white if that matters, but would be open to other races and ethnicities). Not looking for her to get an Mrs but I think she would like to be asked out on dates and have a boyfriend in college.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:60/40 is not going to be that perceptible. It’s a pretty normal college gender split. 70/30 is not great.
It’s definitely perceptible at UVA which is around 58/42.
UVa varies by school. Nursing School has its own dorm setup and is overwhelmingly female. Engineering school has more men, but not as lopsided as Nursing. Arts&Sciences has more women, and is the largest undergrad program by some margin.
