Definitely a thing. Especially if they have overbearing helicopter moms who brow beat them and everyone. Smothers, hen-pecking nags, etc.
Boys with more laid back moms and traditional dads tend to become more easy going masculine types who aren't plagued with anxiety and don't act like weak submissives.
I think it's more of a cultural shift, less about specific family dymanics, as my teens' friends come from a variety of family compositions. The current generation of Gen X and Older Millennial dads are viewed as softer and less traditionally masculine than our grandfathers' generation. Teen boys aren't about abusing women (hardly, they seem whipped by their girlfriends). It's more than they feel like they are victims of DEI policies. Even the boys with moderate or liberal parents are into the MAGA Trump movement - when Trump took a bullet, they all loved him even more. They think they are an oppressed group of privileged white boys who need to take back their power.

Resident incel weighing in on things he knows nothing about! Feel free to discard this view as this person hasn't left their basement in a few weeks and has definitely never touched a woman. (at least consensually).

Kids of millennials are in elementary school…
Some are grown in their 20s also as the oldest millennials are in their mid 40s now. Some kids of boomer men are in elementary school as they had kids later in life.
It varies, like opinions.
So what's the takeaway of the previous comment? That people who have kids when they are young can rely too much on screens? Maybe?
