Every current working MCPS employee has completed a criminal background check. This has always been a requirement before beginning employment with MCPS.


Because MCPS transportation has their OWN HR DEPARTMENT

LOL and an audit showed the Transportation HR Dept was not following the MCPS HR policies. Happy now?

Are bus drivers MCPS employees or employees of a company that MCPS works with to staff drivers? Not everyone knows if MCPs uses a bus company and the drivers are company's employees or MCPS employees.


Simple search would've told you they are. They are always advertising for bus drivers during hiring season, they even have their own job fairs. Most people DO and should know this.

Why wouldn't they spend $ for background checks? That is step 1 it is not that hard folks, get it together streamline your processes NOW!

Well, these are certainly questions that need answers. Perhaps the BOE should be getting those answers for us?


When will they? Who will do the asking? And will they follow-up with more questions based on what and how mcps responds?

Not everyone is available to attend a board meeting nor watch recordings afterwards. Families can write to MCPS, and BOE...will they address all questions and by when?
