Unless you get a good tuition price, UBC and McGill offer nothing special over UMD/UVA for a US American.
I mean, Vancouver and Montreal are two of the best cities in the world, whereas Charlottesville is a cow town and College Park is a dump, but okay.

Luckily premed students can go to a state school or somewhere with good merit aid and benefit from the less sweaty competition.
