The only "real" age group is the 2014s. Looks like syc added another team yesterday there. Its 50/50 "real" clubs

Um-- it isn't until next weekend?
They just added another no name/local trainer team

oh right my bad.

so who are all the real teams and who are the fake insta-train teams?

No Arlington, No Celtic, No Coppermine, No Alexandria, No Bethesda, No Achilles, etc.

I am just hope they are going to play this thing. We have enough tarnishing DC right now. I do not want to add youth soccer to the mix if all of these people were just duped.

My kids don't even play soccer anymore but I am now heavily invested in what happens with this tournament, lol.

The u12 schedule has the kids playing two games back to back on Friday with no "one game" grace like normal. Seems like a mistake?

My favorite post of last 24 hours on the guest page, someone had 5 2015s just drop off and need guest. Smart(er) ATL/CHI/GER/ORL parents I hope?

Futboltech is a futsal/F9ish training program too that just gathers instagram kids. Looks like SWAG is as well. The trainers have found a new way to milk us!

Haven't even heard of most of these teams. Has anyone?

No, have not heard of many. ATL Express is a trainer like False 8 and Next Star.

SYC is the king of FOMO so they are an easy target. They are the kings and queens of trophy hunting.

As a previous poster mentioned, our kids may not be privy to the private trainers who are bringing teams.

One issue is my kid is on the 1st team of a major MLS Next 1 badged club and training during the summer with alot of top kids here in the DMV and not one mentioned the Rising Stars Cup. 🤔

Another issue is playing invites posted here and other social media platforms. Does not feel really exclusive.

We will be on vacation and I am really good in the art of missing out. Good luck to those who participate and I actually hope it is not a train wreck that shames the DMV soccer scene and makes people think we don’t actually have ballers.

I actually wonder if they let some of these no name local teams play for free to try to fill up their brackets.
