Don’t rule out any team early on.
My son hated the first school we saw. It was raining, Coach was pretty blah, nothing excited him. I said to keep talking to that coach because I knew they really wanted him and I didn’t know how things would go.

In the end, he was deciding between two other teams and this coach from the first school asked for one final visit. He relented and after being there for 10 minutes, he said, “this is where I belong”. None of us saw that coming.

He needed to meet fellow swimmers and put them into context after seeing other schools.

You really don’t know how it will end up.

As someone who went thru it, yes. Good luck! You need very high rigor in classes at ivies- every coach asked child what their junior year classes were
