A riot is what happened on 1/6. Traitors were ramming flag poles at police, pushing against them, spraying a water hose at them, and one got wedged in a door frame. I don’t think tagging federal buildings is as bad as breaking capitol windows and smearing feces all over.

Burning an ICE van is not great, but is not a riot. There are people singing and dancing.

There's plenty of local events in NOVA. Enter your zip code in the box in the link and it will show you on a map where all the events are. For example, there are two in Falls Church and two in Arlington (different locations). A friend called me earlier to ask me to accompany her to the once closest to her. It's good that they're in suburban areas on a Saturday afternoon when a lot of people will be out and about and will actually see the protestors vs. DC protests which are primarily witnessed by the people who attend.
