From their perspective, Trump is “better” because he is taking aggressive actions to deal with their number one issue. All of the problems with Trump are viewed as trivial compared to illegal immigration.
Yet still, not one single Democrat politician has stepped up to protect our borders.
Shameful.

The man was quite old when I started seeing him and moved at a snail’s pace. I actually referred to him as Dr. Fossil. But man was he brilliant! He was the most effective and knowledgeable doctor I had ever encountered. After going to him for about five years, I went for my annual checkup, and there was an obvious shift. While that visit was adequate, I knew I wouldn’t be returning the following year. While he could still do his job well, I could see the cognitive decline was starting, and he did not have another year or two or four to be the same caliber of a doctor that he had been and that I needed.
This is what I think was happening with Biden. I think he was absolutely fine to finish out his term. After 50 years in politics, he could do the job from muscle memory alone. But he clearly did not have another four years in him. He certainly didn’t have it in him to run a strong campaign. He became unable to reliably communicate effectively, which is a crucial component of the presidency. He was a great president. Anyone who is willing to really take an objective look at his term cannot deny it. Yes, it took awhile to really get going on immigration, but this is due to his efforts to find long term solutions (such as Root Causes initiative) rather than photo ops, but in the end, his numbers were impressive.
So I don’t think it was a Weekend at Bernie’s situation. But I do think people were panicked, knowing that the options were Trump or watching this great politician deteriorate. So, they ended up with a Hail Mary, and it almost worked.
Biden is the man that Robert Gates spoke about when he said that he was "wrong on nearly every foreign policy and national security issue for the past 4 decades." He was never a smart person. And, he was a horrible president.
