Did they ever explain the meaning of the SIRENS text that Devon sends Simone over and over at the beginning? Seemed like it must have had significance to the two of them, but they just left it...

Yep. I watched it to the end, mostly because of Moore. It was cliche and predictable. With that qualhogging and one kiss, somehow I knew before the ending Simone was walking away with Peter and KiKi with nothing. I was a bit surprised with Devon’s ending. And I believe she pushed Pete when he began calling her names in his drunken state. She’s crazy and off her meds.

I found it problematic that we got this "off her meds" stuff hammered home but they never told us exactly what that meant. Was it PTSD? Or did she have bipolar disorder like her mother and was trying to get by without medication? Or what? I remember seeing the bottle that Devon pulled out but I don't remember which drug it was (I think the label was readable though?).

I am not sure what her real mental issue was beyond anxiety. It was her reaction at the end that made me think she suffered from some form of mental illness. The way she just flipped her script and persona as if it was nothing, NBD. It was like a game, and she won the big prize, but what exactly did she win beyond money. It was almost like she was playing house and just blocked out all the horrors and oncoming problems. The last episode was just unrealistic even for the ultra-wealthy. The way she just seamlessly slipped into KiKi's role and was accepted by everyone.

Really great acting elevated very weak writing.

I thought the writing was fine, plot pacing off. The brief kiss to marriage leap was beyond weird. But yes, acting was 100% perfection. Really talented bunch of people.

Klonopin is used for anxiety.

Correction, I think she pushed Ethan not Peter. I just think her relationship with Peter is gross

And out of the blue and not remotely believable.

He looks super weird, ita. I think it's gross veneers plus weight loss more than anything else. Funny they made an Ozempic joke.

I didn't notice that. Fillers? Botox? He looks recognizable to me.

The weakest part was Simone's relationship with Kiki (sleeping in same bed, smelling their breath) and Kiki adopting and uplifting all those school teachers and manicurists to marry well and now they are in her circle. But what do I know about rich people.

Yeah, I assume the book is chick lit.

It's based on a play. And TBD if they decide to do a season 2:
