Gorgeous campus. Great faculty. They gave us the most merit aid plus grants. The students seemed happy. Housing on campus for four years.


I agree that Loyola is lovely! My child was really impressed on the tour and mentioned a few times how nice the dorms were.

I think Fordham doesn't get the love because it is an expensive school.

Kids that get decent merit probably think they can do better.

good feedback. we are planning a visit in the fall. Is your kid starting in the fall or or already at the school? Wondering if there are any parents of current students on here?

Brandeis. Approx 5,500 students if you include grad students. R1 research institution. Campus is in Boston suburb about a 30 minute T ride or drive into downtown.

Well the Jesuit/catholic schools are awesome. They truly care about the students and ensuring they do well in college. We are a completely non-religious family (one parent was christian, other hindu, we don't follow either). The jesuit schools like Marquette, Gonzaga, etc are not overly religious. You have to take a few religion courses and philosophy courses but other than that, it's not forced on you. What you get is a great experience at a school with only 5-8K undergrads most of the Time, and professors that value teaching undergrad students


+ 1 million. Kid toured St Joe’s, Marquette, Loyola Chicago and going to St. Joe’s.


OP here- can you share some of the things you liked about these schools? From Chicago so familiar with Loyola. A lot of kids from Chicago go to Marquette and are very loyal alumni but don't know much about it. What tipped the needle to St. Joe? A colleague of mine mentioned it has a lot of commuters but I have no idea if that is true. Kid loves Philly so keeping it on the list.

OP Here and raised Catholic but not MAGA. Thanks for the suggestions. I know that PP is mistaken in thinking that Jesuit schools are MAGA. Also, I do not know much about U of Denver if anyone can share their experience with it. I will check out Pace as well. Did not have that on my radar.

Catholic ones are maga no way in hell I’d send my kid to an unamerican college

Denver kids get jobs it’s a great school. Is that the idea send your kid to a school that gets them a job
