Chances are that many of the motorcades you’re seeing and hearing this week are escorting the families of fallen officers to events being held in their honor which are happening throughout the city. I have been part of one. I agree re the inconvenience and frustration many of us are experiencing as a result but I also know personally multiple kids who grew up in part without their dads and acknowledgment of their loss and the sacrifice - truly the ultimate sacrifice - their families have had to make is incredibly important and absolutely deserved.

DC is the land of motorcades all year. Everything is going to be okay. Some sirens for families of the fallen are a minor inconvenience.
We don't have motorcades for Trump going down Connecticut Ave at 11:30pm.
You would if he wants to go somewhere. Do you get this grumpy about protests that disrupt the city?
