We’d have to increase our membership by about 80 families before we’d start a waitlist.

Are you a NVSL team? This violates NVSL rules.

This is very true. I know families that move between pools because they can. In the Arlington/falls church area all pools have such long waitlists that this never happens.

Pool in McLean with waitlist. We opened up registration earlier and held it open longer and just were able to match last year's numbers. Signups were much slower towards the beginning of the registration period for us and gradually trickled in.

NP. You're absolutely right- I know that our team reps are worried about volunteers for weeknight B meets though. From what they say it has been a LOT easier to fill the early concessions and timer slots in recent years when more parents were teleworking. I know I personally will be less likely to sign up for those this year because of RTO, and less likely to do sign up for extra jobs. So it goes.


The early time slots are always the most popular at our pool, and I don't see that changing this year. People will leave work early on Mondays to accommodate B meets. And yes, I know some feds can't right now. But a lot of people still can.


That's good. Our pool has a lot of Fed families so maybe a bit different. Again, I heard this from our reps who have been around a while, I don't really know. They can probably recruit some strong teens into setup at least.
