I just don’t get the vaccine hatred people have when they so clearly work.
Because your average American has very low IQ.
It’s not IQ, it’s the conspiracy mindset. Starting in the 1960’s there has been a constant drumbeat that you can’t trust authority, and what “they” say must be a lie. After sixty years we now make up our own truths, and cherry pick bits of “data” across the internet to prove our points.
But people believe all of that junk because they have very low IQ. Go lookup IQ rankings by country. America is low. It's also why hardcore bible thumpers still exist in the US and there are large swaths of the country where they pump religion everywhere every day. Very low IQ people.

The RFK supporting moms I’m seeing online think they are genuinely going to get answers for the cause of autism.
Not sure why they don't understand the genetic component for autism, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, etc.
Because the links to genetics (including maternal and paternal age) among some of the other links make it look like the parents are at fault. No one wants to be at fault for having a child who the difficulties. The vaccine link makes it look like an outside cause that they could have avoided had they just “known”. They think they can prevent it for any future children or their neighbours.
If it’s genetics how could that possibly be the parent’s fault? That is so ignorant.
They will eventually find the genetic components linked to autism. People with autism are also at risk for developing psychosis, schizophrenia.

DP. Out of curiosity I did look up mean IQ by country. At 99.7, average US IQ is equivalent to that of Great Britain (99.7) and nearly equivalent to Scandinavia (99.6). From available data, it appears that average IQ in the US is not low, and belief in antivaxx and conspiracy theories does not appear to be caused by, or to be correlated with, IQ differences.

Which is like. US ranking below Thailand, Vietnam, Russia, and even countries like Mongolia and Belarus. And we are FAR behind intelligence of countries like China, Japan, and South Korea. Americans are pretty f'in stupid. Period. That's why they still believe in all the vaccine wackiness and think God will cure their disease.
You believe the self-reported IQ scores from Russia and China? Who's believing propaganda now?

The label is needed even for Level 1 because insurance won’t cover certain therapies or will limit sessions. Unless a family is very wealthy, I don’t know how they would afford the therapies without insurance.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:It could lead to forced sterilization as he has an agenda
This is a possibility. I have an autistic niece in her 20s. Her parents died and she is living in a group home. She’s like a small child. She loves to color and do elementary school math books. She works at a supervised job 9-3. Our family takes her out on weekends and she can sleep over.
She will never have a baby unless she is sexually assaulted. Fortunately she lives in a home with female workers only. She would be a target if this creep got his way.
If my child was on the other end of the spectrum I would remove the diagnosis . No label needed.

First thing i thought when i saw this is my BiL and SIL in the midwest, big trump supporters and so so upset that they were paying outrageous amounts of taxes (they are not but still). Now their investments are very down due to the tariff charade and now this. Their kid is on the spectrum so I am sure they must be excited about this proposal. BUT MY TAXES ARE TOO HIGH!!!
