The actress playing Coop’s sister is really off-putting. Her voice is fine but some of her line readings are terrible and she’s charmless.

OMG, you're right! I knew I recognized her from somewhere. She's one half of the lesbian couple, right?

On a side note, I found it so weird that the other lesbian hung out with all the husbands at Nick's that night.

Agree! I'm really enjoying it. I like shows like this where someone is pretending to be something they're not. There was a show called "The Riches" about a family of Travelers who assumed the identity of a wealthy family, living in their house, etc. I loved it.

I’m kind of losing interest in Your Friends and Neighbors. I enjoy John Hamm and Amanda Pete, but the rest of the characters just aren’t pulling me in.

I LOVE Barney! I thought John Hamm was gorgeous in Mad Men, not so much in this series. It’s not even that he’s aged, it’s something else and I can’t figure it out.

He hasn't aged well. That's what years of alcohol addiction will do to you. His character lacks Don Draper's charm, too.

I like the Barney character, but dude needs to divorce his princess wife. It's absurd.

Eh, I think he's aged well. I don't know many men that look that good in their mid-50s. DiCaprio is younger and looks more like the 'poorly aged addict' type.

I had a hard time seeing the mom from Kim’s Convenience in a rich lady role

DP. Poor Barney. His wife just keeps spending money they don't have and his in-laws clearly despise him. I'm wondering when he's going to tell his wife that they can't afford all of that and I'm curious if she'll be understanding and supportive or if she'll leave him. Very depressing storyline.

He has misplaced pride and should have taken the money or told his wife they could not afford the Reno.

I keep wondering how Coop uses the cash to pay for things - bills, etc. He can't exactly deposit it in his bank account. So I'm wondering if a money laundering scheme will develop, a la Breaking Bad.

I do like him, I think it is more that most of the characters are underwritten. I find myself scrolling or reading for at least half of the show because it feels like filler. Sometimes I wonder if having Coop go into criminal enterprise as opposed to just more ordinary thievery was a mistake. It feels like they are going for more depth than say, The Residence, but packing in so many characters that they can't get there. I love the concept of the show, and I think the actors are doing the best they can with the material. It's just kind of becoming a rice cake for me.
