The difference is that in my worldview, it is actually harmful to cause others to fall away from Christ. And in your worldview—it makes no difference whether someone believes or not because the result is the same.
So I just don’t understand the motivation on Team Atheist that causes you to agitate for sport.

Can you understand that others are not interested in your worldview? Your belief does not affect how others think or act.

With this forum though, it's kind of amazing that people post ABOUT atheists, and then get offended when atheists post.

OK but what about the questions like the one about helping kids sit through church where the atheists came in and just hijacked the thread with many (now deleted) posts that were simply attacking the OP and anyone who had the nerve to think that it was a good idea to have their children in church?

I don't attack atheists - friends or here - who think it's a good idea to teach their kids that God doesn't exist. It don't attack my Jewish friends for taking their kids to synagogue. I don't attack Muslim friends for taking their kids to the mosque.

This is what posters are so frustrated with. It's the non sequitur where somehow the minute it's Jesus we get "fairy tales, bronze aged god, blah blah blah." As someone upthread said, it's almost like the Bible passage about him being a stumbling block is true or something .

Atheists believe in freedom, at least all the ones I know do. By freedom, I mean we are responsible for our actions. But atheists are by default materialists, that is, matter is all there is and that there is no immaterial spirit. Every fact about us must be determined by physical laws. If every belief and decision we make is the result of physical laws rather than rational agency, then we have no free will, and it is not sensible to hold us accountable for our actions.

However, atheists (most of them) say we are responsible for our actions, and act as if they have the ability to weigh choices and make decisions on their own. This seems to me like belief that requires faith in the non-physical.

You last paragraph is rejected as a flawed premise. Atheism, a position on whether there is sufficient evidence for god, does not say anything about "responsibility for our actions", or anything else other than the god proposition.

Therefore, no.

Actually, atheists, if they are consistent with their materialist worldview, would say we are not responsible for our actions. But I don’t know any who live that way. Also, the atheist position doesn’t care about evidence. It is a non belief in god regardless of evidence. An agnostic would care more about evidence.
