“workers unite”

I’m not black
I’m not white
I’m not straight
I’m not gay
I’m not male
I’m not female

I am a worker. You are a worker. They want to exploit us for their own profit. There are more of us than them. Workers unite.

Here’s what turned me off in the last election. I’m not going to put a lot of time into this because the name calling will start soon.

The focus on all of the Trump hatred. Move on. The end of democracy talk. The summer of vibes and brat campaign and nothing of substance. The protests and yelling that are still going on. Basically I want a mature adult who can have a rational conversation, with any political affiliation or gender, who is a strong leader. I’m not looking for a catch phrase or hat. I don’t want someone to tell me how to think.

And yes, I’m still mad about the Covid vaccine mandate I had to get for work and the condescending way I’m spoken to and told how I should be voting to protect my body. That goes for telling me how to vote for vaccines (which I would get anyway), as a women (I’ve never had an abortion but it’s my choice and this isn’t a topic I vote about) or immigration, since I’m from an immigrant family.

No name-calling here, but I gotta be honest. After reading what is important to you, it really seems that Trump would have been the LAST person you would vote for. Can you please explain hoe you came to the conclusion that Harris would have been worse than Trump?

I understand that brat didn’t land well with a lot of people, but it is better than maga, right? Also, best ass something started organically with voters. It wasn’t something Kamala sold.

What on earth did the Trump campaign offer “of substance”? He never even pretended to have a real plan for anything. He campaigned on hate and retribution. He said they were eating the dogs and cats, he had concepts of a plan, he got tired of questions so broke out in a dance party, he shut down a McDonalds so he could pretend to work there. Where was the substance? Kamala had WAY more substance in her campaign, especially considering the fact that she had zero prep time and was thrown in.

Were you forced to get a vaccine or lose your job? Honest question. It varies by employer. The fed gov never said people have to be fired if they don’t get vaccine. My employer just had unvax get temp taken every morning. That’s it.

Your views on abortion and immigration seem pretty liberal.

Not trying to come at you. Just genuinely curious how you decided on Trump if those are your views. Absolutely nothing you said indicated that Trump would get your vote.

This was not the entire reason but mid summer, when I was completely disgusted with both parties and the Democrats were full on with Biden’s declining health cover up and Harris summer of happy joy vibes Trump got shot in the face. He stood up and and yelled fight. He’s completely nuts and crazy. But who do you want in the face of evil, leading our country and facing other countries who want to destroy us? A woman who’s campaigning on happy joy vibes or someone who gets shot in the face and stands up and is ready to fight?

That moment is what got me thinking about Trump. I kept wondering how Biden or Harris would have reacted in that situation.

I hadn’t thought about that before, but I’d bet that both Biden and Harris would have checked to see if other people were ok.

This. I was disgusted when Trump said “fight.” He didn’t care about anyone but himself. His violent rhetoric and his encouragement of his followers to assault police officers and hang his running mate, brought him to that point, and he continued to choose violence.

Facts Matter is great because it conveys the message that Trump voters aren’t evil, they just weren’t given correct facts.

Democrats don’t care very much about rights. That’s not a winner. Too much water under the bridge at this point.

United We Fight might work.

I like United We Fight because it allows for the conglomerate of variety to fit in a show of solidarity in fighting together. It is intentionally simplified. It acknowledges the dissension that can occur with different opinions amidst change, yet encourages focus on the power of everyone agreeing to take action uniquely in their fight.

The word fight is too negative and open to interpretation as violence.

Swing voters don’t even like Elon Musk. They agree he’s going about things all wrong. But they don’t believe Democrats want to cut spending “the right way.”” If Dems wanted to cut spending, they would have done it.

The only problem with UnitedWeFight is that it’s too Elizabeth Warren—she has announced “fights” against every cost-cut and every layoff. The swing voters already think Democrats are “fighting” too much against audits and fraud reduction and waste reduction.

I like Fight Oligarchy but I'd guess that most Americans on the street cannot accurately define what it means without looking it up. Dem messaging needs to be something simple and understandable, and easy for other people to spin off.

Okay, you were respectful so I will respond. Thank you for that. I believe in a woman’s right to choose. I believe immigrants should come here legally. Immigration was actually a big one for me to sway me towards Trump.

This was not the entire reason but mid summer, when I was completely disgusted with both parties and the Democrats were full on with Biden’s declining health cover up and Harris summer of happy joy vibes Trump got shot in the face. DP: what I want is someone who truly understands what it means to have someone else’s children die for a country that’s genuinely worth dying for. IMO, that’s not Trump.

I differ sharply from you, PP, in that in my opinion, Trump, Bannon, Miller, Musk, and Vance ARE the faces of evil who are fine with destroying our country for their own profit and resentments. Thank you, PP, for sharing your viewpoint. When I look at Trump, I see someone with serious mental and physical problems, and that concerns me greatly. You, on the OTPH see strength. While I disagree, I do understand how people who see strengths that I do not can be attracted to and value that.

Thank you for acknowledging my point of view and sharing yours. I understand how that would be viewed as greatly concerning when viewed in that manner. I hope more people can have conversations like this.

And thank you for being willing to discuss these critically important concerns. I would welcome the opportunity for more respectful discussions— and perhaps even understanding — even as we disagree or have different priorities.
(DP above)

Why don’t you 3 continue your respect fest by starting a new thread? The OP asked for a tagline. There is a tagline for the protests in DC and across the country on xx/xx/25.
