Because self directed epf is so easy that the cost of the DE class would outweigh any real benefit. I always wondered why more kids didn’t do it though. But one thing to keep in mind is that any DE class requires the instructor to have a degree higher than the attainable degree in the subject matter. A DE instructor would need to have an Econ or finance degree plus teaching credentials and I mean who person with an Econ or finance degree who is that deeply interested in studying says ooooh I hope I can use this degree to teach you this to high schoolers instead of making 6 figures. Probably the number of instructors is also pretty low too
