You mean his junk science?
The fact that Trump got to become president being absolute garbage and stupid, while Obama had to literally be the FIRST black editor of HLR, says everything about why and how people achieve in America.
The GI Bill being another example. While white men got to benefit, the black men who served were not afforded the same opportunities to achieve the "American dream."
At every turn in American history, barriers have been put up to BLOCK achievement for those who were not white.
Obama is proof that genetics matter. Obama has 2 parents with doctorate degrees. A mother who woke up him at 4am to read books, and a father who dreamed and was close to being president of his own country Kenya. He obviously knew of his fathers dream and he adapted the same one.
Obama is a second gen legacy student at Harvard, and his grandma was VP of a bank. His Grandpa was a WW2 vet and hit the big time as a furniture salesman and moved from KS to Hawaii.
Trump also has good genes in his family. His sister is a judge. His uncle was a physicist at MIT. Parents lived to their 90’s. Father was a successful entrepreneur. Trumps kids are all great too. For someone with 5 kids from three different women, they seem to be alright compared to other WH kids. I would hate to bring up the Bidens but

IQ is not fixed, but it is very stable in adulthood and becomes more heritable with age. The alleged cultural bias of IQ testing is largely a myth and is not true. IQ tests that are psychometrically validated and administered by trained professionals have strong predictive validity and demonstrate significant correlations with life outcomes. Intelligence is not immeasurable and performance on subsets of a cognitive ability test are positively correlated with performance in other areas. Someone who scores highly on a math ability test, is more likely to score highly on a reaction time test and a reading ability test. The underlying correlation between performance on all of these aspects of cognitive ability is called general factor intelligence and it is something that can be measured with testing.
I took an IQ test. There is absolutely cultural bias. You can (and there are academic numerous books and journal articles) easily construct arguments for and against IQ tests. Psychology is not a science.

Intelligence and wealth are two, very different things.
A lot of those “elites” who get into the ivy, had no business getting in. And a lot of those wealthy kids are bums doing nothing with their lives.
A lot of those “elites” are human sex traffickers and pedophiles, so I don’t get this notion that just because someone has a IQ, they’re using it for the betterment of humanity.
A high IQ is no guarantee that you’re curing cancer rather than building bombs.

I’m not sure that Trumps is very high. Also he’s like 80 now so past his prime.
Yeah, I don’t think that Trump was ever very smart. Elon is probably a little above average. Multiple people that knew him have said that he’s definitely no genius.
That’s for sure.

If anything, we are moving in the opposite direction. There will be a massive brain drain in the U.S.
Maybe you don't understand statistics and genomics, but genetic selection has already been validated and the science is sound. There are already over a hundred babies that have been been born after IVF using polygenic selection for disease risk. There are at least a dozen babies that I'm aware of that have been genetically selected for IQ. Some of them have not been born yet, but will be born in the next few months.
Anonymous wrote:This assumes humans have a good understanding of what drives intelligence at the genetic level. Newsflash: we don't. Intelligence is a huge amalgam of genetics, environment, and nurturing. They have no idea what network of genes will need to be manipulated to improve intelligence.

When parents view their children as a set of genetic characteristics that can be hacked, and fork over a lot of cash to make it so, there is high potential for them to be disappointed (at best) and enraged (at worst) if their investment doesn't pan out.
It would be a real test of unconditional love.
You are saying that it’s unethical to prevent your children from getting diabetes or cancer? That's basically what this technology can do.

As Democrats, we believe that our oppressor, the outsider who keeps thumping us at our own chosen game of politics, must be stupid.
Anonymous wrote:This is a classic Democrat thread. We should make eugenics and AI discussions a part if our brand with voters. I think they will like it!
I can't stand either party, but you're delusional thinking the *real* elites even give a damn about your party. Trump does not in any way, shape or form have a high IQ. He appealed to people's bigotry and racism. PERIOD. He was a an idiot in school and only got into Wharton due to his brother knowing someone. The Kardashians are very wealthy, too. That doesn't mean there are high IQs in that family. MARKETING is the key.
Peter Thiel is an uber-elitist...and he sees Obama and Clinton as ELITE. Anyone within the elite knows Trump is low IQ. Being wealthy and getting to fail upward despite bankruptcy after bankruptcy...is what "DEI" as defined by MAGAs actually is. It's why someone with OK grades but has connections, gets to have some prestigious govt position while the kid w/ a working class background who went to an Ivy by earning it and working hard and had more right to that position, doesn't get it.
