He bought himself a presidency, but he must not have done his homework on on new President. He never keeps his word.
Trump HATES being seen as a loser, and now he might see musk as a loser and distance himself. It will be interesting to see what Trump says as musk tantrums his way through the week about this.
Musk is the smartest thing Trump did (although probably accidentally.). Musk is drawing all the hate for the federal govt cuts that Trump would have never had the guts to do on his own, but this is all being guided by the Republican ideologues at Project 2025. Trump and Musk are just the useful (and wealthy) idiots.
I never thought about it this way. Good point.
Disagree. Trump has allowed muck and is responsible for the chaos. Like it or not, the buck stops with the president.

They voted for Trump.
Trump did many horrible things but he didn’t try to buy the election.
Yes, he did. He had Musk do it.

If he was mad about dealerships in Wisconsin, we can make it worse.
Although I dislike Musk with a passion, I do not believe that whether a company (especially an American manufacturer) can do business in a state should be a partisan or political issue. This started out as the big car dealership lobby trying to keep another car company out. That should not have happened in Wisconsin nor the 11 other states that did it.
If Biden and the Ds had played with Musk he very well may not have joined the other team and Kamala might have won the election. But as it was they did not. In fact Biden joined a union picket line (first president to ever do that). That together with his initial rejection of Musk (when he invited all the other car companies except for his to that first meeting) set the tone for what was to happen. It was really a big mistake by Biden. Among other mistakes that Biden made.
So you’re blaming Biden for not being as corrupt as Trump.

I am just gal from Michigan but I am so proud of my mid west brothers! (I live in dc but you can’t take the midwest farmer-character out of the girl).
You can take your one million dollar checks and stuff it! (Ok, I am kidding. Quietly put away your giant checks). we are principled in the center of the country and it’s a turn off when you think our people are dumb lambs. We are smart lambs of another leader.

I’m regularly accused of being a MAGA here by the more unhinged progressives (in reality I am a political moderate Democrat with views that align with probably 60% of voters), and I am completely delighted at this result. Transparently buying votes should be reviled by everyone. Great work Wisconsin!
