Actually, it's a sliding scale. When you're 5 a high schooler seems old. When you're 50 it's more like 80 feels old. It also depends on the person older than you. I know some 70 year olds that look like their on death's door, and some 85 year olds that look great and have great energy.

This is a good summary although officially the beginning of old age starts at 65.

It’s all relative. It depends on how old the other person is. For a 10 year old, 30 is ancient. For a 20 year old, 50 would seem like really old. But to a 40 year old 50 would seem relatively “young”

I feel like age is a pendulum swinging between 10 years younger and 10 years older than your age. Some days you feel old, some days you feel young.
