If you are a naturalized citizen and voted for this administration, you have your head in the sand. The minute they did away with due process, it was game over.
If we had a national Citizenship ID Card - which I have been a proponent of for years - much of this anxiety would go away.

Naturalized citizens are citizens, period.
You can’t be thrown out unless they stripped you of your citizenship, which is an extraordinarily rare and difficult process.
I have lived and traveled in an extensive list of countries, and have had to carry an ID in many of them.

Hysteria doesn’t help anyone.
I hear you. At the same time, Trump ignores laws and courts.

Yes Trump forgot the Benneton days. We are a diverse and welcoming country and one day our world will be even more diverse. Do the math. Trump is a frightened old white man afraid to lose his White Privileged Card. I gladly hand mine over to welcome a beautiful diverse World of many races and creeds. Peace.
What's happening now appears to be the (hopefully) last gasp of white men trying to control everyone. I hope this doesn't work.

They are not following any rational laws.
Trump just invoked the freaking Alien Enemies Act of 1798.
It's not hysteria. MAGA just wants everyone to be asleep while the water warms up.
There is no statute of limitations for civil denaturalization cases. If an administration abuses the spirit of the law they can target almost anyone by creating fictitious or disingenuous civil immigration fraud cases to revoke citizenship.
All 38 million greencard holders and naturalized US citizens are at risk if rule of law is not followed.
Really with this administration, not even natural born American citizens will be safe do of course all those others are at risk
He intends to cow everyone with fear. So long, 1st amendment.

Our visa has expired but under current immigration rules, we are allowed to stay in the US until a determination is made regarding our green card status.
So I'm not carrying anything. What would they want? The letter saying USCIS has received my green card application and has given me a work permit? If ICE arrests me, I'm in trouble anyway, because I don't think they know, or care, that green card applicants who previously held visas are allowed to stay on US soil.
The problem/reason people are raising alarms is that there is zero due process/accountability. It’s not just illegals being detained. I’m pretty sure other countries will issue a warning to not travel to the US if their citizens keep being detained. See TikTok link above.
Kind of like there was zero due process/accountability upon entry. The last administration just waved them in across the border or better yet, flew them in, in the dead of night into interior sections of the country.
What were you thinking???
Not the same though that was reason enough for you to vote to toss the Constitution
These people are working with the U.S. government to stay legally
Democrats brought them in to convert swing states to blue states. As they see it, the ends justify the means. Didn't quite work.![]()

Well, that's what's happening folks.
If you are brown or aren't an American citizen, I would urge you not to travel.
Your relatives are okay with American-born black people?? Aren't they racists?

OP here. I think it’s deeper than just plain racism. That might Magas wet dream, but I think the government’s goal is to use fear and discourage dissent. Another poster mentioned her white European DH being afraid. The man detained in the article is white. I think the threat of deportation is just another tool to silence people. Like going after universities, protesters.
I think they want to reduce the size of the population. Hence antivaccine propaganda, cuts to medicare and medicaid, mass deportations. It is the same song.
I agree it seems they are keen to kill us.
