So what's the controversy exactly??

I looked at the PA rosters and just like Baltimore, all of the best players will be at the NB All American games. LI will probably follow suit, so now a team from DC might actually win something! Yay!

Yes, I am eating some crow over here. I was one of the the most vocal on the video select and non-attendance. I was wrong. Please pass the BBQ sauce.

Like in other years the rosters have both likely AND unlikely selections. I know extremely talented players who were not selected, and there are some players selected I have never heard of. At least in my daughters’s age group, it seems that everyone selected was physically present at the tryout.

Rosters for the tryouts on March 2 or earlier have been posted. My guess is the March 9 tryouts are coming next. In no particular order the next rosters posted are likely to be the following:

Not that complicated. The families did hear at about 48:30 after the tryouts and have accepted or not. In terms of the public roll out, American Select is posting rosters once a week to keep the hype building. They don't want a multi-week social media drought as many regions had their tryouts around the same time. There is a strange intensity around this tryout and team this year. Hope that means a more engaged DC-VA showing in July.

It’s not just the 2028s, look at the roster for the 2029 bmore team. There are a few elite bmore kids that didn’t get picked and might be at AS, but most of the truly elite girls are on that AA team.
