I love the local "influencer" who spent her insta stories and Tik Tok this week explaining why she had to still shop at Target and WF this week in case anyone saw her there. No one cares about whether I shop there, you shop there or she shops there.

That particular Target is one of the most profitable Targets in the country. I am not there to observe, I went to buy something. I am not boycotting Target or Whole Foods or whatever.

Yes people are actually choosing not to spend money in a store that went back on their commitment. But the Supreme Court says money is speech so no, it’s not nonsense, it’s a clear non-violent message to Target to do better, and to retailers like Costco that maintaining those programs is financially beneficial.
