Illegal immigrants get way more out of us than we get out of them. That’s the exact reason they’re here. If all they wanted was safety then they would have stopped in Mexico or any of the other countries they passed through instead of coming here.
And no, their kids should not get free education. It’s not “free” - we pay for it. And we pay even more for illegals since their kids have much greater needs that we need to address.
Send them all back and permanently end birthright citizenship to stop the future tide of them too. Even Democratic representatives and senators will vote to end birthright citizenship since they know that’s where the vast majority of the country stands on this.
I wouldn't represent the majority of the county until we see the data.
BTW, making the topic from tax raise to immigrants does not make any sense here. If we don't like tax raise, we need to protest against it, not picking up the wars between different groups. I believe all the posts here mentioned the immigrants are trying to change people's attention from the actual tax raise. They may be the bots hired by some county board.

Even if you think that each one gets paid under the table (which not all do!), they still pay property taxes -- passed through to them by their landlords -- and sales taxes. So yes, they definitely do pay into the system.
The landlords would pay the property tax regardless of who is or isn't renting the property. So, no, they don't indirectly pay into the system.
Do you think property tax increases are absorbed by landlords out of the goodness of their hearts? No, they pass those costs on to renters.
The landlords pay the tax. Indirectly paying a tax doesn't convey any responsibility for paying the tax.
A completely meaningless distinction without a difference.
Then isn't the company employing the immigrants paying the property taxes? The renters are just a pass through.

To that limited extent, which is to a much lesser extent than people who pay income and other taxes.
