When will Americans stop sitting politely and watching all of this unfold? We just sit and allow unidentified men accountable to no one drag off a citizen for speaking their disagreement at a town hall? Why didn't anyone else help her?
I’m an older woman and I am furious at what I saw in the video! First, why didn’t anyone stand up and help the woman who was being dragged out?!!! She wasn’t the only one yelling out things and she didn’t say anything terrible. Who were the guys that dragged her out and why did they come prepared with zip ties?! This is assault. If they were LEO on duty, they should have worn uniforms or shown their badges. MAgA are straight up thugs.
Oh stop it Lib. That woman was RUDE. She showed no respect for the speakers on stage and deserved to get mocked and booted out. I wish the security guy had just put her in a headlock and dragged her out of there. Idaho judges would have thrown out her lawsuit because she’s just so obnoxious.
When will we do the same to MTG for being "RUDE" and showing "no respect for the speakers on stage"" I'm so glad you agree she deserved to "get mocked and booted out."
And shouting here:

And being disruptive here:

Apparently only Republicans are allowed to be disruptive hecklers and thugs. Only Republicans are allowed to assault police officers and smash windows and doors at government buildings.
Buncha damn hypocrites.

We can't learn, and we can't change, so we've pinned our hopes on...Trump becoming unpopular?
He beat the Bushes, he beat the Clintons, he beat the Bidens. He set records for most votes ever gotten by any Republican Presidential candidate in history in both 2020 and 2024. But surely the American people will soon embrace the disliked Democrats out of...anti-Trumpism?

Wasn’t this the basis of MLK’s movement? Non- violence?
MLK was only successful because Malcolm X was off to the side threatening to kill people.

My guess is that half of that room enjoyed watching her “get what she deserved.” The other half may have been afraid to get shot.
I know that I wouldn’t be able to fight off those three assaulters by myself. I am 5’3 and weigh 111 wet. My inclination would have been to surprise the awful man on stage, grab his mic to distract the nazis making the “citizens arrest,” and to draw attention away from the poor woman getting dragged around by weak bullies who can’t handle simple questions.
They're all claiming ignorance now.
"Kootenai County Republican Central Committee Chair Brent Regan said the group’s legislative committee arranged security for the event but said he didn’t know what company they selected. He said he expected Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris to have the details."
"Norris told The Press he came to the legislative town hall to lead the Pledge of Allegiance but remained onsite after because of “an active threat on a legislator and his family.”
He maintained that he didn’t know which company provided security for the event and said he knew nothing about the security arrangements.
“I did not contract with the security company,” he said. “I didn’t have anything to do with the security detail.”
Norris denied giving the unidentified, plainclothes security personnel any direction as they removed Post Falls resident Teresa Borrenpohl from the auditorium and detained her.
Video recordings from the event show Norris approached Borrenpohl as she heckled the legislators and told her to leave. Norris then took Borrenpohl’s arm with both hands and attempted several times to pull her out of her seat."

It’s not a good look for him either way: He didn’t have anything to do with the security arrangements, but, as a law enforcement officer, failed to step in to stop an illegal arrest of a citizen OR he aided and abetted the illegal arrest. Neither way is a win.
Will she sue? Hope ACLU or someone else steps in and takes this case.

This is the Gestapo. OMG. What is happening to this country. This is just the beginning
In case you’re interested, here is a longer version from a different angle. People were trying to help and were actively blocked by others. It’s truly upsetting.

More info here. At least the “real police” (opposed to the sheriff who was there in plain clothes and off duty and who targeted the woman and ordered her removal) condemns the violent removal of the liberal protester. Why are sheriffs a political position anyways?? Seems like a setup for abuse and over-politicization.

I read that they were deputies, but they sure didn’t identify themselves as such or show ID. I think that a lot of people look forward to knowing their names.

Many will work longer hours to try to compensate for the losses in staff. And all federal agencies will triage, prioritizing the work that is likely to impact the most people and reducing or eliminating work that is still important but impacts fewer people.
