When will Americans stop sitting politely and watching all of this unfold? We just sit and allow unidentified men accountable to no one drag off a citizen for speaking their disagreement at a town hall? Why didn't anyone else help her?


I’m an older woman and I am furious at what I saw in the video! First, why didn’t anyone stand up and help the woman who was being dragged out?!!! She wasn’t the only one yelling out things and she didn’t say anything terrible. Who were the guys that dragged her out and why did they come prepared with zip ties?! This is assault. If they were LEO on duty, they should have worn uniforms or shown their badges. MAgA are straight up thugs.


Oh stop it Lib. That woman was RUDE. She showed no respect for the speakers on stage and deserved to get mocked and booted out. I wish the security guy had just put her in a headlock and dragged her out of there. Idaho judges would have thrown out her lawsuit because she’s just so obnoxious.

My guess is that half of that room enjoyed watching her “get what she deserved.” The other half may have been afraid to get shot.

I know that I wouldn’t be able to fight off those three assaulters by myself. I am 5’3 and weigh 111 wet. My inclination would have been to surprise the awful man on stage, grab his mic to distract the nazis making the “citizens arrest,” and to draw attention away from the poor woman getting dragged around by weak bullies who can’t handle simple questions.

It’s not a good look for him either way: He didn’t have anything to do with the security arrangements, but, as a law enforcement officer, failed to step in to stop an illegal arrest of a citizen OR he aided and abetted the illegal arrest. Neither way is a win.

Will she sue? Hope ACLU or someone else steps in and takes this case.

So there was color of law. And if lawyers can prove people who yelled cheers were allowed to be loud and interrupt, but those who jeered were not, then it is absolutely content of speech and absolutely a Section 1983 claim.

They were private security as yet unnamed. If there was a sheriff there, they should have left things up to him.

Yes, public servants will try to do their best but it won't be minimal, and there's going to be breakage. There already is and we're barely into Phase I.

For one, listen to the Department of Energy testimony going on currently - all of the issues they are already having with nuclear safety officials terminated, labs compromised, energy grid and infrastructure at risk, and so on because of the wildly swinging DOGE machete. It's already to the point of incredibly scary.

It was proven that the Loudoun school board meetings were flooded with dozens of right wing activists from North Carolina, Tennessee, and elsewhere who lied and pretended to be local school parents when they weren't, who disrupted school board meetings and made them too chaotic for school board to even speak or conduct business, who harassed, stalked and made incredibly violent threats toward school board members and so on.

Since that was all fair game in Loudoun there should be no issue with GOP town hall meetings degenerating into chaos.
