If you’re so frightened about other people with whom you disagree being able to express their opinions with the same freedom and reach that you do, you are on the wrong side. Of everything.
I don't understand any of the censorship talk. Wasn't or isn't twitter/X a private company. If you choose to use it, you choose to follow whatever rules they come up with.
And we discovered that the Biden administration was dictating those rules to Twitter prior to the sale.

I think you mean disinformation without censorship.

But daily life with censorship is okay? My kids DoD teachers can no longer say a whole list of words anymore, their libraries have to remove books and clubs like Society of Black Engineers and the Gay/Straight Alliance can no longer exist, in a public, secular (until now) school payed for with taxpayer dollars! First amendment absolutists my a#s.
You people are such frauds and no one buys any of it except yourselves.
Will the society of black engineers admit white members and allow them to serve in club leadership positions? If not, they have no place in public schools.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:You do know libraries occasionally remove outdated books from their collection? It's called weeding. Or do you prefer to call it censorship?
When the books being weeded are falsely alleged to have an agenda, than it isn't weeding, it is book banning and censorship. How about just leave all the books there and stop weeding?

They really don’t like not being in charge of everything. The mask is off. Under every lib is an authoritarian in-hiding.
For a lib, the definition of democracy means "Democrats in charge."

Anonymous wrote:Look at Reddit or Democratic Underground. That’s what the entire country would look like if Dems ever achieved a critical mass of power.

The OpenAI guys refused his offer and trolled him with an offer to buy Twitter for $9B, a fraction of what he paid for it.

What are you talking about facebook blocked trump and caused him to lose the election.
They did. And now the tides have turned and Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are all pro Trump.
The Dems should have regulated social media and turned them into public utilities when they had the chance, but they were too cocky because social media was on their side and censoring Covid skeptics and right wing voices in the name of “disinformation.” Well the same playbook is going to be used on Dems this time around and a lot of their views are going to be censored on social media because it’s “misinformation.”
This is why you should have solid values and be anti censorship and anti oligarchy no matter who’s in power. That same censorship and those same oligarchs can come for you when the tables are turned, like they are now.
Regulated social media? Similar to what North Korea does? Lol
No, treating social media like gas or water, that is, a public utility. Meaning that it has to adhere to the first amendment and you can’t get banned by a private company for exercising your free speech rights. Much like how Washington Gas can’t legally cut your gas line in the winter cause you’re MAGA because it’s a public utility, but a private bank can debank you if they want.
You knew what I meant. Don’t be daft.
