30 is accurate. not all high schools have the same schedule you know. just because it's not 30 in your kid's school doesn't mean it's not 30 in someone else's.
Yes it is accurate because today was a 3 hour early release in nova not 2. Normally it’s 2 hour so classes are a little longer. Our classes were 31/31/90/31 to accommodate 4 lunches and to to leave 3 hours early.
Fairfax did this. You are on an APS thread. APS followed their normal early release schedule.
Simmer down, my APS kid had 30 min classes today.

this person is talking about 3 hour early release which was Fairfax not APS.
If your kid had 30 minute classes it was some other reason.
No I'm not, this is in at least one APS school too. Schools are not all the same you know.

No. They really don't. Students an still have a significant school day tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be a totally wasted day. It’s babysitting
Not in high school.
Yes also in high school. My school made classes 31 minutes each to account for all the lunches. I can’t do anything meaningful in 31 minutes. It’s a wasted day instructionally.
FCCPS gets around that by not having lunch on early dismissal days. I’m not sure how they do it but they have longer classes, no lunch in HS.
Then I guess it doesn’t count as an instructional day? I thought lunch needed to be served for it to count.
