Sounds like it. You just don’t have to come in, but aren’t retired until then.

If that’s true, I would take it in a heartbeat

You have to keep working until September.

How can you work once you resign?

It's you resigning but agreeing to work until September and make your regular salary, except without going to the office. You can leave earlier than September, but not later. That's it. It's just for people who really hate going to the office and have an empty office available to go to.

No that is not what it says. You will be placed on admin leave until the end of September.

Interesting, this memo asks agencies to track how many people seek to rescind or extend their resignation, without saying whether that's possible, with the earlier memo implying it wasn't.

I still don't think they can use admin leave to pay people not to work for months. Otherwise you could just hire political cronies and put them on "admin leave" indefinitely. This is going to be overturned.

Anyone who takes this is an idiot. They're offering basically nothing in return for resigning.

It came out they can't can't fit us in the building over 10x over.

1. Trump or Musk change their mind and welch as usual.

2. Lawsuits.

Yes. If anyone believes they’re getting 7 months severance I have several lovely bridges for sale.

When they start RIFing people, that's what severance is going to be for a lot of people.

That's not happening.

Problem is Trump already promised to and started to weaponize the government (and his para-government goons) against anybody who isn't an extreme loyalist. So why should you trust anything he says about what he'll give you for admitting you aren't on his team?

First Mismanager Musk, who is behind a lot of this nonsense, already tried to avoid paying severance to people he fired from Twitter, and got sued for it..
