Most of these games don't turn into stall ball. Only one has been referenced as that. And most are at the private school, so there is a shot clock.

What's your logic? The Heights are almost always around 5 - 10 w/l and, after joining the WCAC, are 6th or below. They are non-competitive with the top 4 in the WCAC and nowhere near the top 10 in area lacrosse. They play some tight games every year with the publics scheduled.

That being said, I expect the Heights to be more competitive this year. They have 3 excellent 27's, 2 at attack and a top goalie. This doesn't mean they are going to win more or even have a better GA against the top teams, but the games will be a bit better for a bit longer.

The comment about the shot clock is odd. Every high level of lacrosse is now played with a shot clock. It's make for a better game.

High School but only if the high school is a high level lax school like those included in the IL national and top 10 regional rankings.
Grades at all high schools. Low B average immediately moves you to D2.
Club, but only if that club actively plays in what are considered good tournaments. Sorry Aloha and Sandstorm.

Prospect Days and Showcases if your kid falls out of the top high school category

But good publics do compete with middle of the pack privates. Yorktown plays the Heights this year, and Langley plays Potomac, St. Andrews, and Sidwell, and I expect the publics to do fine in those games.

Do the local privates have more than the 5 PLL players from NOVA publics in that league the last year or 2? I'm guessing yea, but curious.

In all due respect to Robinson for being a good team year in and year out... There is only 1 VA Public that has actually beaten top privates in the last 5 years. Riverside. They not only are competitive, losing 3 times to Privates by less the 5. But they have actually beaten Gonzaga and STAB.
