We have two large bookcases of for books - this is after Marie Kondo-ing for favorite books only. Kid has a large bookcase of books in (our) different languages. Books are big component of promoting trilingualism for us. But, we also go through the kid bookcases annually and donate. When we buy new (adult) books we are careful to rehome them after reading.

Wow. Where and how do you store them and sort them? Do you use a scanner and app to organize them?



I use Library Thing, which I highly recommend. It also prevents me from buying duplicates.

There are bookcases in just about every room in the house and we have one room lined with floor to ceiling shelves that is our main library. But I recognize that this is not the norm. I'm just a giant book nerd and curating the home library gives me joy.


Is library thing free again now?
