Agree Madison has great momentum again. But Oscar voting ended, I think, just as she was picking up steam again. Maybe the BAFTA helped idk. The fact that she's in the movie generally viewed as better, a strong contender for BP, helps her quite a bit. Since she basically is the movie. I also think Torres remains a strong dark horse. I won't be surprised if any of these three win. Nor will I be displeased. All great performances, though I lean Torres for depth and technical execution.

Interesting. I thought Marianne Jean-Baptiste might pull off the CC win. I still think Torres is a dark horse, but looks like Demi Moore is on track to win the Oscar. No clear frontrunner for BP, would be perfectly happy for Anora to win it. Would be a nice consolation prize for Mikey Madison too. She gave an exceptional performance. The Brutalist was really hurt by the AI scandal, though that seemed like a nothingburger to me.

I thought Barbaro was very good though necessarily stronger than Qualley or Deadwyler. But conventional wisdom is that Oscar voters love biopics.
