People seem to be really triggered for lack of a better term when I say hey, not my problem any more and mean it. I resigned myself before the election that if this is what we vote for, this is what we get. What's there to do?

100% wrong. That is exactly what *NOT* resisting looks like. “Resisting” would involve protesting and trying to thwart the implementation of policies you believe will hurt people.
