This might work in high school, but school is quite different now. you have kids at vastly different levels in one room. Back when we were “blackboard and chalk” there wouldn’t have been kids with disabilities and language learners in the same classroom room. All of the tech and curriculum is to try to backfill gaps and meet every student’s level.

How about Social Security, VA and HHS? Those moochers need to stop asking for handouts too.
I actually think tackling the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid are more important. Between those two, they have a budget of $1.8 Trillion per year.
That's sinking us to the point where we're borrowing 55 cents of every dollar spent. Gotta stop. Math says so.

This really shouldn’t even be a political thing. My great grandmother was educated in a log cabin with a slate and chalk tablet and sharing books. She read and studied insatiably and was very well educated.
Your great grandmother was the exception, not the rule.
Lack of education leads to higher crime. Enjoy that, I guess.
Only because you think schools and teachers should be playing a role that properly belongs to families and parents. Enough outsourcing of child rearing!
Oh yeah, especially when your role model is Trump and the parents that voted for him. Don't complain when they come grabbing you by the pussy.
PP - DCUM Trumpsters believe that the "they let you" in Trump's audio means that women are proffering their pussies. He was misunderstood.
Ok, what does it mean?
Well, if you've been in these parts for long (USA) a majority of both women and men understood it to mean that he grabbed those pussies without asking first. Especially in light of the 69 women who have come forth insisting it was not consensual. The only place I've heard a woman say it was was on DCUM this last week.

You didn’t say what “they let you” means other than “they let you.” Weird that not one of those women filed a police report. Some were still contacting him years later.

We've had a Department of Education for close to 50 years.
I keep hearing the blue states are way ahead of the red states.
So with that department in existence, that's where we are. You seem to be tripling down on failure?
Do you ever steer or just keep mashing down on the accelerator and doing more of what doesn't work (and forcing it down people's throats)?
The reason blue states are doing better is because they pay an astronomical amount in property taxes to cover the funds locally. Education is already heavily controlled by the states.
Yes, that's why retirees leave and move to Florida.Even when they pay off their house, they have a house payment.
Well, now that DOE is gone, they will some big beautiful property taxes in FL. And possibly state income tax too.

Anonymous wrote:Whatever. He will likely fail at this, just as he did in his first term.
But if he succeeds the damage done will be to schools in red states. So enjoy that I guess.
