If your daughter (or son) cannot:
Have difficult communication and conversations with out defensiveness or judgement
Have respect for another’s feeling needs and boundaries
Be willing to flexibility adjust needs and desires to find a solution that works for both partners
Have mutual respect, and a willingness to give and take, ensuring that neither person feels like they are constantly sacrificing their needs for the other
IE- understand that her/his partner is an entirely separate being and that it is not always one’s own way. Not my way, not my partners way but many times it’s the third way that wins.
There are very few reasons that a couple is so different it will never work. Politics is NOT one of them.
Go read Gottman.

This is creepy.

Anonymous wrote:I can help. The problem is that your daughter actually believes all the things that have been spewed out there by politicians in order to get her vote. Fear is a powerful motivator. I assume she voted for Kamala so let’s just listen to Kamala. When asked about calling Biden a racist in the 2019 primary, she dismissed it by saying, “It was a debate.” In other words, you can’t believe things people say when they are just trying to get votes and win. In her concession speech, she told us that everything is going to be ok. She just called Trump Hitler and his supporters facsists to win the election. It’s not true! So, no worries. Everything is going to be ok.

She is scared that a misogynistic (grab em by the p*ssy) rapist was elected president again and that men (and women) are OK with that. She is scared that respect for women doesn’t matter in society anymore and this is just the beginning of a downward spiral of women’s rights.

Her body, not yours
The body inside hers is NOT hers. Sorry. And this is a nation of laws and we can restrict whatever we like subject to limited exceptions not including murder.
Ooh La La who would not want to date you? Can we bring back slavery while we're at it?

Did you ever stop and consider that many/all of the accusations against Trump were likely fabricated for political reasons? And as far as “grab em,” he specifically said “they let you!” Ie it is an issue with slutty behavior by women as much as anything.
No, we didn't, because that is just so completely wrong, demented and asinine.
Exhibit A of why OP's daughter is concerned about views about women in a Trumpy world. Because he makes it seem okay to say out loud what so many sicko men are really thinking. Just like that ahole who posted "your body, my choice". bunch of pigs.
Are all men this way. No. But waaaay too many are.
As a woman who was raped while being restrained in the back of a vehicle at 17 and threatened with being strangled if I resisted, I don’t believe E. Jean Carroll. At all.
There is not enough money in the works to get me to confront my rapist in court decades later.
If she was truly attacked, the trauma would be too great for her to make such a spectacle of herself.
A writer in NY, however, would know very well how to tell a good story and would enjoy the attention.
These women are despicable to me. They disgust me.
