It does sound like people are made uncomfortable by parents standing "on the wrong side". Otherwise, why complain about it in a forum? Have a great day.
Sitting on the wrong side is usually only seen at the younger U8 or U9 levels when parents are still new travel soccer. I've seen it some at older ages but only lower levels like 3rd or 4th team where kids are coming out of rec and the parents haven't figured it out yet. No one wants to intentionally sit with the other team's parents except for maybe one of the PPs that seems to find joy in annoying other adults.
Yeah I'm not new and my kids play ECNL...so not top top level but up there. I will walk down to the "wrong side" if I need a better view. My kid is a defender and if they are playing a tough team they are in their own third for long periods. Not sure why this is so contentious to so many of you adults.
I don't believe anyone was talking about sitting with the other fans...like dropping their gear and taking up residence for the game. Also...are you sure that hasn't happened? Meaning, you are keeping track of who crosses the imaginary line in each game? You sound like a know-it-all who likely doesn't.
Different poster - just stay on your damn side. The leagues have these rules for a reason. I'm sure you're completely quiet and very knowledgeable (lol), but many are not and it causes all of these unnecessary conflicts.

Anonymous wrote:Same poster as above - completely forgot to mention if you're ECNL you'll have access to game footage afterwards. You can easily stay on your side and review the video later, but I guess the rules don't apply to you.

Woof...that joke was rough. Another helicopter parent here. Can't wait to make you uncomfortable in the future. Not gonna worry about your feelings.
Does it make people uncomfortable? I find it funny and entertaining. The more desperate you sound the better.
