You are giving very off vibes.

And you are giving gaslighting vibes off yourself, lol.

Seems like you don't know what that word means.

Bake the shells in the oven until they're crispy if you use the corn shells. Add shredded lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and sour cream. You will throw dinner together for a fraction of eating out and maybe less time than getting in the car to pick up Taco Bell.

Also, I love Chipotle. It's good, but haven't eaten it in years. Has anyone checked out the price of Chipotle stock lately? It's going like gangbusters.

Totally agree/ we makes all the Mexican dishes that we are outside at home- tacos, burritos , multilayered dips and chips

I stopped getting breakfast out myself, it use to be for money but now it’s on principle, breakfast $30 out? $4+ for coffee?

+100

No coffee and no breakfast outside ( except buying bagels at our local bakery).

Stopped going to Starbucks completely.

Places like Cava and Chipotle- take out, maybe twice a year.

Buy icecream pints for family instead of individual servings ( out local popular ice cream places charge $6/- per scoop without any toppings). The teens will occasionally ( with friends) visit the icecream shops.

Nice restaurants- 2-3 times a year.

Rest of the time good groceries from Whole Foods and Trader Joes and cook at home

On vacations- we do eat outside breakfast and dinner.

Taco Bell isn't real good- go to Chiptole and what did you buy for $45?

Anonymous wrote:Yes, definitely. Way too expensive now, to the point where it's not enjoyable and any little issue feels worse at these current prices. Delivery apps are a complete no. We get pizza once and awhile or go out for ice cream. We used to eat restaurant food quite a bit.

This. The quality, portions, and service have gone down but the prices have soared. We could easily afford to eat out more frequently, but I just don't want to anymore.

It just doesn't feel worth it, and then I end up annoyed with any deficiencies in food or service.

This is an overstatement. There are plenty of ways to eat out and have it be healthy.

NP. It’s not an overstatement. Even a “healthy” salad has added sugars.

It’s healthier for me to eat a restaurant salad than eat whatever prepackaged things I would eat at home. I hate buying and prepping vegetables, so I don’t make many salads at home.

We eat out several times/week. This weekend, we had dinner out on Friday and Saturday and are heading to brunch this morning. It’s a form of entertainment and time for socializing with friends. We almost always have a leftover and that extends a little value into the week. We only spend $100 per week at the grocery store, though, mostly on produce. We are empty nesters and HHI $350-$400k, so that impacts how we plan our weeks.

Chopt has always been insanely priced.

Anonymous wrote:We stopped going out almost 3 years ago, it is cost prohibitive to us. We used to grab Chopt salads regularly for lunch, and now it is $38 for two salads. No thank you. We only go once a year to a nice restaurant to celebrate each other birthdays. Economy sucks.

Except it isn't the economy, it's price gouging.

We cut back a lot. I feel bad about it because I really want to support our neighborhood restaurants when they are good, but it is so expensive to do on a weekly basis. We went above and beyond to support them through COVID, but feel a bit burned that they never brought the prices back to normal. Maybe they didn't realize we were sacrificing to support them and that it wasn't sustainable long term. When the cost of getting pizza for the family doubles, it has to change your habits regardless of your income.

People, people, people, use your brains please.

You think anyone would be disturbed by someone rushing into a stall and using the stall? What's the matter with you? She didn't use the stall. She brushed past me into the stall, looked around, and walked back out. I guess that needs to be spelled out for some of you folks.
