I got their slim jogger cargos in black and dark green, cute plain white leather Reebok’s, their Kiara blouse which is so cute, and a Sherpa and denim jacket. For dressing up mildly, I got a lady cardigan and dark jeans with a bralette. I also got the baggy wide leg Paloma jeans to wear with tight vests. Last year I got very cute black combat-ish boots I like to wear with slip dresses and off the shoulder sweaters for dinner etc.
Why would your occupation have any bearing here…is there a “lawyer mom” style that’s different from “data analyst mom”?
Ha sorry I guess because I have to go to the office sometimes still but now it’s all “business casual” ish. And I still need suits some days.
And you also need to tell everyone you are a lawyer?
Anonymous wrote:I wear a blazer and jeans to work probably once a week in the fall. I have a pair of dark wash Levi flairs and a pair of black slightly cropped ones. I wear it with a fitted white tee and a blazer (but not that VB one), and a nice belt. I think it works well for my business casual law office and is very comfortable and also okay if I have something at the kids school after.
I just bought a jersey shirt dress from Biden and I think it’s a pretty good work horse dress with boots. I wore it today with a cropped jacket for work but it would also be fine on its own.
I really love a chunky turtleneck sweater with jeans or straight leg pants. I was looking for another and it’s getting really hard to find natural fibers -/ I have one in a cotton shaker knit and one in a merino wool but they are each about a decade old.
I also got a cashmere crewneck that I love to wear with wide leg pants and just tucked in.
This is basically my wear to work wardrobe for the week. Weekends I barely leave the house but can wear some variation of that. Oh and my brown leather moto jacket which will give that poster from the other thread a heart attack.

They’re definitely dated and giving 2016 fashion blogger Christian Girl Autumn. Looks these days are cleaner, more streamlined, less busy and not so over-accessorized. Skinny jeans if you should choose to wear them - not distressed or ripped, and worn with plain sneakers, or I’m seeing pointed toe flats and boots, and loafers quite a bit too.
Sweaters - slightly cropped, or hip length and relaxed fit, but not tunics. Same story for cardigans, no longer or “waterfall” style open cardigans. Shorter ones ok.
Accessories - small and neutral jewelry. No “statement” anything, no huge earrings, no blanket scarves. Bags are seemingly anything goes right now.
