No. More like "crashing" at someone's house cause too drunk to drive home, or wanting to avoid going home for some reason. Or just wanting to spend the night with the BF/GF. Camping was used as an excuse a lot also.
This was me in HS. We were smart kids with good grades but a wild bunch and I slept at a lot of friends houses on the weekends because we were partying hard.
My teens aren’t like me at all and my oldest hasn’t had a sleepover since middle school. He likes to sleep in his own bed. DC 2 is more social but super involved in sports and prefers to come home really late to get a better nights sleep than sleepover anywhere because there is likely a game or practice the next day. Maybe 2 sleepovers a year, if that.
