They usually have an every man for himself attitude, and resent having to assist others or having to modify their behavior for the benefit of others. While Trump is a worthless human being, he is far from alone. He’s just a vehicle.
Oh, you liberals have an interest in the welfare of others ("invest" in them) as long as you don't have to pay for it yourselves.
Because of you democrats, we have a very progressive tax system where half the population pays nothing in income taxes. You certainly work to assist yourselves by demanding others pay everything ("invest") for you.
But we do pay for it and don’t resent it like conservatives do.
You pay for it with other people's money, not your own.

We have reached Gladwell’s tipping point. But only one side displays hate as a constant theme. A battle of good and evil is upon us all.
Read today’s NYT magazine on South Sudan. It may adjust your skewed perception of good and evil.
Evil can be very banal, as banal as voting for an evil person who wants to destroy democracy.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I’ll preface this by stating the obvious truth: I hate trump, yes, of course. Who doesn’t? But at the end of the day, trump is just an irrelevance. A loudmouth buffoon who will soon be humiliated at the polls again, and then spend what may be the rest of his life in a New York state prison as a 34 count convicted felon facing possibly 14 decades at sentencing, if he doesn’t flee the country first - which I suspect he will. Either way, he’s soon to be gone and won’t be our problem anymore.
But the 50-odd million people who will probably still vote for him this November aren’t going anywhere. And those are the people I really, truly, viscerally despise. Because they gave trump his power. Without these imbeciles, trump would be nothing. He’d literally have the same influence as a crazy screaming homeless man shouting at no one in a city park. That’s what trump would be without the millions of supporters who give him his power. These are the the people I hate. Not trump. trump is just a symptom. His supporters, his sycophants - they are real problem. The disease.
It really made me sad when I came to this realization today, because until now, I assumed that things were going to be awesome after the election and we’d never have to suffer his buffoonery again. But then I realized his supporters aren’t going anywhere. They’re still going to be around regardless of whatever happens to him. And that infuriated me.
I just don’t know how to get past this. I’m just consumed with anger at the realization that probably should’ve occurred to me earlier, but didn’t. I was so consumed with hating trump that I wasn’t able to see who I truly should’ve been hating even more. And now realizing that these people will still be around after he goes away, it just ruins everything.
Very upset tonight. Can barely contain my rage.
We should be friends!,,
Love this post to my very core!
Thank you!
You are not alone

Maybe they are just… bad people?
Why doesn’t anyone consider this is possible?
This country has always had lots of bad people. Look how much Jim Crow laws were accepted and how hard people fought against desegregation.
Some percentage of the electorate is just lousy and have to be dragged into civilization by the rest of us kicking and screaming.
Or, maybe they just believe different things than you and think that things are going in the absolute wrong direction like most of the country.
The left believes that a man can declare himself a woman and then compete in women's sports. I personally think that is crazy, but I don't think the left is bad because of it.
Many on the left thinks that illegal immigration isn't an issue and we should allow illegal aliens to live and work in the US. I personally think that is crazy and a risk to our economic and national security, but I don't believe the left are bad people because of their beliefs.
There are many beliefs the left, collectively, has which I am vehemently opposed to, but I don't think they are bad people.
The problem here is that the right thinks the left are decent people with bad policies and the left thinks the right are just bad people.
This thread pretty much confirms that.
Unfortunately, I’ve seen evidence that there are people on the extremes on both sides who believe that the people on the other side are bad and evil. The OP is an example of the many on the extreme left who believe that people on the right are bad people and there are those on the right who believe the same about the left.
Personally, I believe that those on both sides who feel this way are ridiculous and somewhat unhinged.
