Also, if she wanted to make it up to the fans, she should do a tiny desk/zoom concert and send it out to the buyers of the tickets. Of course, it would be blasted wider, but it would at least so some good will and non-moneymaking strategy from her.
A bad role model?
I can’t even name one of her songs, but I do know that she works hard, treats her fans well, is intelligent, and has never embarrassed herself in public. The only negative thing I’ve heard is that she uses her private plane excessively.
What is your issue with her exactly? That she’s unmarried?
Yeah- I’m not playing that game on this thread. Her fans were just given a death threat. Most kids face this at school in the US at some point and get way less attention, but still in deference to the people who are upset and because there were actual consequences to many her fans in this case, I’m not going there.
If you like her great- I am just saying that giving a online concert experience to those fans affected for free, would be a gesture that puts the fan experience above her money making and would be a kind gesture.
There is already a full movie available of her concert on Disney+ that anyone can watch at any point. What possible good is recording a second online concert going to do?
Right- silly me. I forgot that anyone who could afford a concert ticket would automatically have been able to afford the Disney plus subscription and have already down loaded the movie.
In reality, this is right up Taylors alley- a ‘secret” concert only the attendees were given codes too. It builds upon exclusivity that Taylor LOVES. She could perform some special songs and sing to Travis. Sure, a different experience, but still, the fans would go ga-ga over it.
Again, it would be a gesture to FANS and about them more than a tweet about how upset she is.

She’s doing at least 50 shows in the United States. How many do you expect?
Also, she is a business. Not a charity. No one is entitled to see a Taylor Swift show. It’s a ridiculous line of thinking.
+1
The pouty attitude that somehow she should give things away for free is pretty pathetic. She’s already a huge philanthropist.

Artists get sick, they have family emergencies, they have weather events, they have a wide number of things that can happen that lead to a cancelled concert. It is nNot some rare I heard of thing. Her team and the event team will figure it out just like they do anytime a concert gets cancelled.
Yup. Garth Brooks has done it, Taylor's crew could as well. (Adding shows)
I don't know what a pp is babbling about with Taylor being a bad influence. I am far from a fan of her music, but am impressed with her otherwise. I don't think she owes anyone an exclusive recorded show. The cancelation has nothing to do with her.
Of course she doesn’t, but that is why it is a kind act- she doesn’t owe it to anyone and does it out of generosity and solidarity.

I have two young Swifties (that I took to one of the earlier Europe concert stops) and totally get how awful it would have been to have had to break to them them at the last minute that the show was canceled.
However I also find it super sad that because the concert was canceled you would just completely scrap a trip to an amazing city and world class tourist destination rather than trying to make the best of it and finding fun things to do to show them they could still have a great vacation.
A European friend was supposed to go to this show and told me Austria has been overrun with police due to the threat. They cancelled their trip.
