It’s generally healthier if you have your own kids already when your parent dies - that way it’s a natural flow of things and nobody feels the need to cry 5 months later.
It’s also natural when the kids are young when your parents die - not adults themselves, and it’s generally not healthy being 70 and having your 90 yo parent die for example even though more and more people are in this position now and I am afraid I will be, too, as my parent is dead set on living into his 90s.

So anyway, your sister’s reaction is very healthy. You can get together with your mom and cry if you want to. At your sister’s house, do some nostalgic talking and enjoy the baby!

She probably isn’t dealing with her feelings l. My dad died 10 days after my son was born and there was very little time for grieving until he was about 3. I am sorry for your families’ loss.
