Those immersed in the art world will deem some art not worthwhile. At the same time, they’ll scoff at those they consider “unsophisticated” deeming art the art “expert” likes as not worthwhile. Because they think credentials mean something in art. But fundamentally, if they’re able to call some art garbage, anyone can call any art they want garbage. There is no objective truth in art, no matter what the snobs will tell you.

I appreciate your staunch defense of modern art. But I wasn't saying it would be easy to get into a gallery, I was saying it would be easy to hang a baggie on the wall that contains literal trash. Landing in a gallery takes acceptance of the gatekeepers and kingmakers. That's about politics, not mechanics.

But is it 'easy?' Someone had to be the first. You may not like it but doing something first is really difficult.

I watched this years ago. The film left in to the viewers to decide, but I don't believe the girl was doing the paintings without parental help.
