This has been on the news for days.
Congratulations on waking from your coma.
I guess to you, one day = days? So many exaggerations, even about mundane things. Do better.

It’s happening folks. They are coming for disloyal Catholics next:

Because he is a barometer of sorts. You know we’re all not a bunch of mindless heathens, right? We do read things like Reuters and The Economist and learn about trends. There is a big resurgence of strict Christianity or Christian nationalism in response to the rapid social change that’s taking place.
So people not part of that audience care because it helps us gauge what you all are thinking. What else are you going to decry and try to restrict? What other rights are we potentially going to lose because of your religious ideology and influence. Do you understand that? We want to know what we might be facing. And that bearded dipsht is a thermometer.
Ok - so how do you feel about the strict Muslim community and all of the things they forbid/restrict? You do know they hate the LGBTQ community, and don’t even start with gay marriage. They consider women second-class citizens too. You ok with those restrictions and regressive ideology? We’ll wait while you spin something up.

I’m a Catholic and this thread about a heretic Catholic speaking to young Catholic women. That’s why I care.
If you start a thread about a heretic Muslim I’m sure an educated Muslim could explain to you why it’s lies.

+1
No doubt if this was an audience to which they felt a kinship, like say, Democratic Socialists of America, or maybe BLM, they'd wholeheartedly agree with whatever message was being spewed.
Sure, but it would be a better message. His speech sucked.

His address is hardly unhinged. He is speaking to graduates of a Catholic College as a Catholic himself.
I understand you don't agree with his beliefs... and there are some things he said that I don't fully agree with, but he is speaking based on his religious beliefs. And, he didn't call the people who use IDF and contraception "disordered."
He said that these things along with abortion, euthanasia, gender ideology stem from the pervasiveness of disorder.
Big difference.
I doubt you listened to his entire address because had you listened - you would hear that he has some hard words for his religion and some of the leaders of the Catholic Church.
Difference without a distinction.
Hey folks who use birth control and IVF -this conservative Catholics thinks that your use “stems from the pervasiveness of disorder.” Along with his other hard right laundry list of culture war grievances.
He is a dangerous extremist.
Because you disagree with him? He's allowed his beliefs.
Yes he is allowed his beliefs. But he didn’t say they were his beliefs he said they are Catholic beliefs and that’s a lie.
Show your evidence.

I'm already trying to prepare for the discussion with my 12 year old son, a huge Chiefs fan.
By the way it's very self centered of you to say nobody has ever heard of him. Self centered in a weird way.

DP it’s pretty unhinged when you tell a group of accomplished young women who have just finished their degrees that never mind all that your only real accomplishment in life is being a wife and mother and homemaker. Yuck.
DP. That's not what I got from it. He was saying that the *most important accomplishment* for both women AND men is their children and families. I would agree with that, and I'm neither Catholic nor a "trad wife," whatever that is.
Dp- yeah not to the men. Just the ladies. Men have important things to do.
