My daughter went to boarding school as an over-protected, angelic child and A student. We found out(the hard way)that sex and drug use take place at boarding schools, any admissions counselor who tells you otherwise is a liar.

We applied - at the last minute - to a nearby boarding school. It was great for her - she regained her ambition and focus and now thinks her friends from middle school are losers.

This is what we’ve seen have to happen when a girl goes off the deep end in her early teens. Off to private school or far away for school.

I suspect she vapes, she's dating a rebel type boy and is just letting everything slip. How do we stop this train?? She says she's in love. She has new friends now. Doesn't seem as into her sport or clubs though we still insist she attend. Before anyone blames our parenting, we have clear boundaries and those are respected but we don't know how to control the crowd she's selecting to be with - in the name of love!!! lol

Very cool.
What a bad @ss.
