This is deeply sad but entirely foreseeable. I wish I could call out all the posters who attacked me in the long threads on Britney’s conservatorship when I spoke from my years of experience in court and argued that most of what Jamie was doing was sincerely for the best interests of his daughter.
Does anyone really think her lawyer who has milked her for $4 million so she could pay $2 million more to Jamie’s lawyers has her best interests at heart?
Britney’s fall is going to be epic.
Does anyone really think she would be worse off right now if she was rehearsing regularly for a residency in Vegas while taking meds daily and seeing therapists weekly?
The only conditions of her conservatorship that anyone could seriously challenge as untoward was the requirement to use effective birth control. Yet I don’t think anyone could responsibly argue that she should have had more children in this lifetime.
Good thing her sons are nearly grown, sounds like she’ll be too poor for child support soon enough.
Her father was taking advantage of the conservatorship. If she wants to waste her money and do drugs all day then let her.
How did he take advantage? He was paid 100k a year to be the conservator which is an actual job.
Jamie hates California. He’s always in Louisiana
I thought he also got a cut of every tour deal. Huge conflict of interest.
Jamie Lynn was using the money as well. Super inappropriate. I rather she blow the money then have her family steal from her

I feel really bad for Britney Spears.

This. Give me a break. Her family is trash from Mississippi. They had their chance to get her proper help and just saw the $$ signs. Keeping under one any longer is inhumane.
The thing is, they may well have gotten her proper help. Once a severely bipolar person stops taking medicine the decline is almost instant. Doesn't mean she didn't have proper help, it just means she's chosen now not to take her meds.
We need better mental health care in this country.
The mental healthcare she was receiving worked. The issue is the general lack of compliance with the healthcare available due to the mental illness.

The people around her, who moved in on her once she was no longer protected, are likely robbing her blind. It’s an age old story of mentally ill people being taken advantage of. Those who objected to her father paying himself to manage her will now see much worse people rob her blind and shrug that it’s her “choice,” as some a-holes in this thread have. The callousness and evil of so-called fans never fails. If this was their child, would they be so casual about her downward spiral?
Uh except they put her on stage like a circus monkey forced her to earn money for everyone else. There’s no law against being poor. Being poor might be the best thing that could happen to her. If it were my child, no, I would not want her performing against her will. Maybe she needs to hit rock bottom and work her way back up to be a cosmetician like Amanda Byrnes. At least it’s her own terms. unless she’s a danger to others she has the right to lead a regular life - just because you want/need for her to be a glamorous star doesn’t mean that’s right for her at all.
You need your head checked. She is not merely poor. She is severely mentally ill and untreated, with a drug addiction and literal criminals circling her. She doesn’t make it another 5 years at this rate.
what's the drug of choice? I've not heard that.
She says adderall but its really everything under the sun. When she was put under the conservatorship, there were lots of rumors that was doing meth.
